Why Buffalo? – 8/5/17

Buffalo meat is rated as one of the healthiest red meat options available today. A study was conducted recently by a student at University College Cork into buffalo meat recently. The study was supervised by Professor Joe Kerry, who in an expert in this field and can stand over the findings of the study.

When compared with beef, it was found that buffalo meat is far richer in Omega 3 oils, protein and other minerals such as Iron and Zinc.

Perfect for gym users

Buffalo has been found to have a higher amount of protein per 100g when compared to beef. It also contains less calories and saturated fat which makes buffalo a perfect source of protein for people who want to build muscle organically or who just want to meet their recommended daily amounts of protein in a healthy way.

Lower cholesterol

Many of you older readers may have been advised away from red meat by your doctors because your cholesterol is too high. Well buffalo meat is no threat as it is much lower in cholesterol when compared with beef and it tastes every bit as good as beef.
